As a services and trading company, Bechtle’s development activities are generally limited to software solutions and applications, both for internal use and for individual customer projects. Our Application Solutions business unit designs, develops and implements software on behalf of customers, including solutions that meet specific industry requirements. Since 2023, we have also been active in research through our majority stake in PLANET AI, expanding our portfolio to include AI solutions for intelligent document analysis. PLANET AI currently contributes 45 research and development specialists to Bechtle’s workforce. Research and development activities were immaterial in relation to total group revenue during the reporting period.
